Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how SoftwareForge (operated by BellCorporateLabs Ltd, "we", "us", or "our") handles personal information when you visit our website, purchase our products, or use our software.

1. Who we are

SoftwareForge is a product brand of BellCorporateLabs Ltd. Our website is hosted at softwareforge.uk. For privacy enquiries, contact us at support@bellcorporatelabs.com.

2. Information we collect

Website visitors

Our marketing website is largely static. We do not operate user accounts on this site and we do not use third-party advertising trackers. Basic server and hosting logs (such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited) may be processed by our hosting providers (for example Vercel and Cloudflare) for security and performance.

Purchases and licensing

When you buy a SoftwareForge product, payment and checkout are handled by Gumroad, our merchant of record. Gumroad collects information required to process your order and provide customer support (such as name, email address, and payment details). Please review Gumroad's privacy policy for details on how they process payment data.

Product usage (InvoiceEasy and similar apps)

Our applications are designed to be local-first. Invoice data, client records, writing projects, and business settings are stored on your device (browser local storage or desktop app storage), not on our servers. We do not receive or store your product content unless you explicitly contact us for support and choose to share it.

Some products may contact Gumroad to confirm a purchase. We do not store full payment card details on our systems.

3. How we use your information

• To deliver software licenses and provide customer support
• To operate, secure, and improve our website and products
• To comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests
• To prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized license use

4. Legal bases (UK GDPR)

Where UK GDPR applies, we rely on:

• Contract — to fulfil purchases and provide licensed software
• Legitimate interests — to secure our services, prevent fraud, and improve our products
• Legal obligation — where we must retain or disclose information by law
• Consent — where you have given clear consent (for example optional marketing, if offered)

5. Data sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with:

• Payment and checkout providers (Gumroad)
• Hosting and infrastructure providers (for example Vercel, Cloudflare)
• Professional advisers or authorities when required by law

6. International transfers

Some service providers may process data outside the UK. Where this occurs, we expect appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or equivalent protections.

7. Retention

We retain purchase and support records for as long as needed to provide services, meet accounting and tax requirements, and resolve disputes. Local application data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app.

8. Your rights

If you are in the UK or EEA, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing of your personal data, and to data portability where applicable. You may also lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

To exercise your rights, email support@bellcorporatelabs.com.

9. Cookies

Our website does not use non-essential cookies or behavioural advertising. Hosting providers may set strictly necessary technical cookies or similar technologies for security and delivery.

10. Children

Our products and website are intended for business users and are not directed at children under 16.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when it was last revised. Material changes will be posted on this website.
